HARVINGTON

ENCLOSURE

ACT

of 1786

There were probably several copies of this fragile document produced in 1786. This particular copy was found amongst a bunch of deeds mostly relating to the old Reading Room. They were in the possession of the recently deceased Sue Coley and were given to Alan Hirst, the Churchwarden, by her executors. Alan kindly allowed me to copy them for inclusion on this website. It is believed that Sue Coley came into possession of the documents via her father Reg Coley, who was a Churchwarden, Parish Councellor and was also involved in the administration of the Reading Room.

This is an interesting item and although the images are stored within the website's Reading Room folder, access to the Act is via the Histories page as a stand-alone document.
